This website is under construction.  Check back in late July for more content and a forum if there’s enough interest.  Contact me at nlananet1@gmail.com if you are interested in a forum or wish to contribute info on the Funcargo.

The only thing useful right now is a newly translated English shop manual.  It’s a bit fugly but I hope to clean it up at some point
The manual can be downloaded here.  I tried to print out a few pages and realized I had the size all fubar’d up for printing.  It scaled best to A4 paper size so if you want to print it then get some A4 paper and download this file.

Recently finishied up installing a Rostra cruise control and a 9″ Android radio/backup camera.  I had to replace the door speakers because one of them wasn’t working  The cruise control is installed and working now once I located the speed signal wire.  Now that I have english language docs I had no problem locating it.  I’ve confirmed the signal is correct with an  oscilloscope and got that completed.  The elusive speed signal wire is located behind the radio and is light green with a red tracer.  I’ll post the FunCargo specific parts of that project soon.  Rostra has really good docs so no point in being redundant on what they’ve already done well.

My next project (anxiously awaiting Amazon for parts)  is setting up hand controls for throttle and brakes.  On of my best friends has knees that bend very little and can’t drive a car.  He can’t even get in and out of the normal drivers side but can get in  a RHD FunCargo.  I’ve got some steering servo’s and controllers coming in and am working on the design for the user interface and mounting.  Haven’t done much machine design lately but I did make a living at it for 20 years.  Feels good to get back into it.  A nice diversion from the IT consulting that currently pays my bills.

Note:  Decided to stop and set up a lab (been going to do that for years) so once I finish getting that set up I’ll get back on the control project.  So far have the lathe and milling machine in but still have to install the DROs.  Also have a 3D printer to set up and an electronics lab.  I hope to get back to product development by fall.
